Mooseheart’s Veterans’ Walk is a walkway tribute to men and women who serve and have served our country through military duty. It is a personal “thank you for your service” to family members, Mooseheart Alumni, friends or fellow Moose members who have served so proudly and bravely. The Veterans’ Walk is for all veterans, not just those who are deceased or who served during wartime. Flags can be purchased as a remembrance or a honorary gift.
Mooseheart’s NJROTC unit has complete responsibility of the flag walk. Cadets will assemble and set in place your gift of an American flag and engraved name plate each Memorial Day Weekend in May and week of Veterans Day in November. American flags will line the sidewalks leading from Centennial Plaza to the House of God. Members and guests are welcome to walk through the Veterans’ Walk between 8am– 5pm each day that the American flags are displayed.
The Mooseheart Veterans’ Walk is currently designed for members of the Loyal Order of Moose and Women of the Moose to honor a blood relative, friend, fellow member or co-worker. Members can purchase a flag and nameplate for any military veteran (alive or deceased) or man and woman currently serving in the military.
$100.00, which includes the highest quality all-weather 3’ x 5’ flag, aluminum pole, ground spike and nameplate recognizing the branch of military and war or conflict during which the veteran served. This is a one-time cost and for the life of the Veterans’ Walk if any damage happens to the flag, pole or nameplate, they will be replaced without cost to the original donor.
All flags will be displayed one week prior to and one week preceding Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day. Members can view the flags any day of the week from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm during these 2 separate two-week periods.
Mooseheart’s Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) unit will provide the coordination and care of the Veterans’ Walk. Cadets will assemble the flags, display them when scheduled and properly store all flags after each display
period.
All monetary gifts in support of the Mooseheart Veterans’ Walk are tax deductible, with a receipt being generated from Moose Charities. Gifts can be earmarked for the Veterans’ Walk and submitted to Moose Charities at
155 S. International Drive,

The route will begin at Centennial Plaza and travel towards the House of God by means of James J. Davis Drive and Pilgrim Street. As more flags are purchased, the route will grow and become fuller. Please refer to the Veterans’ Walk map for more detail.
