RECOGNITION!

Both Mooseheart alumni and Mooseheart faculty and staff make amazing things happen in the world. Their noteworthy accomplishments benefit both society and our campus community. Their efforts advance the common good in our world inspiring others to innovation and creativity. To celebrate the accomplishments of our these individuals, the Mooseheart Alumni Association sponsors major awards to celebrate the accomplishments of our alumni and Mooseheart staff each year. We are accepting nominations from alumni and friends of Mooseheart for any of these prestigious awards.

All nominations must be made using the forms listed below below.

DEADLINE FOR ALL NOMINATIONS IS APRIL 30 OF EACH YEAR.

PROCEDURE:

  • All nominations are submitted to the Mooseheart Alumni Association Vice President during the filing period using the official corresponding Award Nomination form.
  • The Vice President will screen and verify the nominations submitted for any MAA Awards.  If the nominations pass the review of the Vice President, the nominations will be presented to the entire MAA Board for review and for a vote.  Nominations are approved with a majority vote of the MAA Board.

AWARD PRESENTATION:

  • All award recipients will be notified by the MAA Secretary of their award selection.
  • The Award recipients and their spouse/partner will given an invitation and be the special guests of the MAA at the Annual Dinner and Dance held during the annual Homecoming weekend.

Distinguished Alumni Award

The purpose of the Mooseheart Alumni Association Distinguished Alumni Award program is to recognize Mooseheart’s alumni who have made significant contributions to society, and whose accomplishments, affiliations, and careers have honored the legacy of excellence at the Mooseheart, Child City & School.

The Distinguished Alumni Award does more than honor its recipients. It also further illustrates the great value of the academic programs and student involvement at Mooseheart and increases the pride all MAA members, students, staff and faculty have for Mooseheart.

Recipients will be accomplished in the three distinct areas as outlined below. This distinction will be reflective of Mooseheart’s core values – Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Loyalty, Respect and Selfless Service.

The three areas are:

Professional Achievement and Career or Military Service Distinction: The recipient attained prominence through his or her efforts in commerce, industry, technology, the professions, agriculture, the arts, education, government, military or other worthy endeavors that form a record of accomplishment impressive to the citizens of the nation and world.

Service to Society: The recipient exhibits integrity and a demonstrated commitment to service through an interest in bettering the lives of others through volunteer efforts.

Service and Support to Mooseheart, Child City & School: The recipient’s deeds and actions reflect the importance of his or her educational training, pride in alma mater and loyalty to Mooseheart, Child City & School, as demonstrated through their interest in and support of Mooseheart, Mooseheart Alumni Association or the Loyal Order of Moose.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Eligible individuals are graduates and former students.
  2. Are good standing with the Mooseheart Alumni Association.
  3. Nominee’s class will have to had celebrated their 10th Anniversary.
  4. Nominees may be living or deceased.

Athletics Hall of Fame

The purpose of the Mooseheart Alumni Association Athletics Hall of Fame is to pay tribute to and give lasting recognition to those individuals and teams who have made exceptional contributions and brought recognition, honor, and distinction to Mooseheart, Child City and School in the field of athletics and who have continued to demonstrate in their lives the values imparted by their experience.

ELIGIBILITY

Graduate of Mooseheart High School in the 5th year prior to the current year.
Participated a minimum of one interscholastic sport.
Are good standing with the Mooseheart Alumni Association.
Nominees may be living or deceased.

Above & Beyond Faculty

MAA “Above & Beyond” Faculty Award recognizes a Mooseheart School faculty member who, by attention and dedication to students, has demonstrated outstanding ability as a teacher.

The MAA “Above & Beyond” Faculty Award is designed to recognize outstanding teachers for their contributions to Mooseheart school, excellence in the classroom, leadership, innovation, community involvement, dedication, and work on behalf of Mooseheart students.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Faculty members must have been employed by Mooseheart full-time for at least three (3) years prior to the year of nomination.
  2. Nominations may be made by any member of the Mooseheart Alumni Association, current Mooseheart students or faculty.
  3. Nominees must be/have been an employee of Mooseheart, Child City.
  4. Nominees may be current employees or former employees.
  5. Nominees may be living or deceased.

Above & Beyond Staff

MAA “Above & Beyond” Staff Award recognizes personnel at Mooseheart, defined as family teachers, houseparents, secretaries, administrators, campus department employees.

MAA “Above & Beyond” Staff Award recognizes outstanding full-time and part-time staff employees of Mooseheart, Child City and School who embody Mooseheart’s standards for excellence, innovation and caring for children.

To reward those employees who show exemplary individual achievement, contribution, and performance in their jobs and other related duties beyond their own offices and to acknowledge those whose efforts have inspired and supported the performance and achievement of others.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Staff members must have been employed by Mooseheart full-time for at least three (3) years prior to the year of nomination.
  2. Nominations may be made by any member of the Mooseheart Alumni Association, current Mooseheart students or faculty.
  3. Nominees must be/have been an employee of Mooseheart, Child City.
  4. Nominees may be current employees or former employees.
  5. Nominees may be living or deceased.
